The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has announced that Akeal Hosein, the No. 1 T20I bowler in the world, has entered the player draft for the highly anticipated season 10 of the league.
The announcement was made via the league’s social media platforms, accompanied by a video showcasing Hosein’s standout performances in previous PSL seasons.
Akeal Hosein, a key player in the West Indies T20I squad with 67 appearances in the format, has previously represented the Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators in the 2023 and 2024 editions of the PSL, respectively before joining the season 10 draft.
The 31-year-old spinner has already made his mark on the league’s history books, being one of only six bowlers to claim a hat-trick in the tournament.
He achieved this milestone against Peshawar Zalmi while playing for the Gladiators in the 2024 season. In total, Hosein has played 13 PSL matches, taking 16 wickets at an average of 25.37 and an economy rate of 7.96. His consistency and ability to deliver in crunch moments make him a valuable asset for any franchise.
