Long queues have formed at the Karachi Intermediate Board as students rush to submit scrutiny forms, raising concerns about the recently announced intermediate part-1 results for 2024. In response, the scrutiny fee has been halved to Rs500 per paper to alleviate the financial burden on students.
Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, the newly appointed chairman of the Higher Secondary Education Board Karachi, has established an inquiry committee to investigate the complaints regarding the results. Shah, who assumed office on Friday, January 3, met with Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Secretary of the Universities and Boards Department, to address the issue.
The committee is tasked with thoroughly reviewing the results, ensuring transparency, and restoring students’ confidence. It aims to resolve all complaints within one month.
Chairman Shah highlighted the importance of addressing students’ concerns, calling them the nation’s priority and future. He assured that the committee would work impartially to improve the examination process and enhance transparency in paper evaluation and result compilation.
He encouraged students and parents to directly share their concerns and suggestions with the board for the committee’s consideration. Students dissatisfied with their results are urged to promptly submit their scrutiny forms at the designated bank booth in the board office.
