Punjab to Start MRI Services in Govt Hospitals Soon

The Punjab government has launched a project to provide MRI services in district hospitals through an outsourcing model.

To enhance service delivery in selected districts, outsourced MRI services will be introduced.

Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed for MRI scanning services in Sheikhupura and Bahawalnagar, with a total cost of Rs. 399.2 million for both districts.

The installation of the MRI machine has been completed at the District Headquarters Hospital in Sheikhupura, while the machine will soon be installed at the District Headquarters Hospital in Bahawalnagar.

Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, stated that the outsourcing model will ensure the provision of high-quality MRI facilities in various districts, enabling the timely diagnosis of complex diseases.
