PCB Announces President’s Trophy Grade-I 2024-2025

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the commencement of President’s Trophy Grade-I 2024-2025 with Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) launching their title defense in the prestigious tournament against Pakistan Television (PTV) at the HPC Oval Ground in Karachi.

This highly anticipated departmental first-class tournament features nine teams competing in a single-league format. It will culminate in 37 matches, including the grand final, scheduled from April 8-12.

President’s Trophy Grade-I 2024-2025 Format

• Each team will play eight matches, with all games hosted at venues across Karachi.
• The top two teams from the league stage will advance to the final, while the bottom two teams will be relegated to the President’s Trophy Grade-II.
• A total prize pool of PKR 8 million is up for grabs.

Opening Round Matches

In addition to the SNGPL vs. PTV clash, the opening round will also feature the following matches:

• Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) vs. State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) at the SBP Sports Complex.
• Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) vs. Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) at the NBP Sports Complex.
• Higher Education Commission (HEC) vs. Eshaal Associates at the National Bank Stadium.

Ghani Glass will begin their campaign in the second round, facing HEC.
