The federal government will present the federal budget (2025-26) in the first week of June 2025.
According to the Finance Division’s recently issued Budget Call Circular, it is now expected that the Finance Minister will present the 2024-25 federal budget in Parliament in the first week of June.
The budget will likely be presented in the Upper House (Senate) of Parliament on the same day as it is tabled in the National Assembly.
The Lower House of the Parliament will then discuss the budgetary provisions for the next fiscal year which will last till end-June 2025. It is expected that the new budget will be approved right after these proceedings.
