The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced the reopening of Hajj applications for 5,000 pilgrims under the government Hajj scheme. Applications are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting today, with the process closing immediately once the quota is filled.
Designated banks across the country are accepting applications daily. Applicants must deposit Rs600,000 in two installments along with their forms. Additional costs, such as those for animal sacrifice or opting for a private room, will be charged separately.
This scheme is part of the remaining government Hajj quota. The ministry aims to fully utilise the allocated slots to avoid returning any unused seats to Saudi Arabia.
A spokesperson for the ministry confirmed that only 5,000 pilgrims will be accommodated, and no exceptions will be made. Applications will cease as soon as the quota is met.
Prospective pilgrims are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible to secure a spot under the government Hajj scheme. Given the limited quota, the ministry has urged applicants to complete all required formalities promptly.
