The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has directed private housing societies to promptly submit reports on their adherence to established rules and regulations. This directive was issued during a meeting held on Saturday.
The meeting, chaired by Additional Director General Awais Manzoor Tarar, was convened to review the compliance of private housing schemes with relevant regulations. Representatives from various RDA branches, including Engineering, Estate Management, Planning, and Building Control, participated in the session.
Discussions centered on ensuring that housing schemes follow the Private Housing Scheme (PHS) Rules and adhere to their approved Layout Plans (LOPs). The review also covered the payment of required fees, levies, and fines, along with the mandatory plot mortgages and the transfer of amenity plots to the RDA.
Mr. Tarar stressed the critical importance of compliance with regulations and the timely settlement of dues. He reaffirmed the RDA’s commitment to fostering transparency and enforcing legal and environmental standards across all projects.
The authority pledged to take decisive steps to streamline procedures and ensure strict adherence to all applicable rules and regulations.
