With the deadline for Champions Trophy 2025 squad announcement right around the corner, the teams have started to submit their squads for the mega-event. While England and New Zealand have already announced their squads, Bangladesh are the third team to reveal their 15-man roster for Champions Trophy 2025.
Experienced batter, Najmul Hossain Shanto is tasked with leading the side for the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. The squad sees the return of Mushfiqur Rahim to the limited-overs setup along with experience of Mahmudullah Riyad. Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana forge a solid pace bowling battery while Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Nasum Ahmed will share the spin bowling load.
Surprisingly, star all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan has been left out of the squad as he is still banned from bowling due to a suspicious bowling action. This might see the end of Bangladesh’s star performer in the international arena, bringing an end to an illustrious playing career.
Nevertheless, Bangladesh have a solid squad with a host of options in each department and they will be looking to upset Pakistan, New Zealand and India in Group A and qualify for the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy 2025.
Here is Bangladesh’s Champions Trophy 2025 Squad:
| Najmul Hossain Shanto (c) | Soumya Sarkar | Tanzid Hasan | Towhid Hridoy | Mushfiqur Rahim |
| Mahmudullah | Jaker Ali Anik | Mehidy Hasan Miraz | Rishad Hossain | Taskin Ahmed |
