Karachi Board Stops Taking Scrutiny Fee for Inter Part-I Students

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has eliminated the scrutiny fee for first-year intermediate students dissatisfied with their exam results. This decision follows directives from Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

As per an official notification, BIEK Chairman Dr. Syed Sharaf Ali Shah announced that students from Science Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Science General, Commerce Private, Arts Private, and Home Economics groups of the 2024 Intermediate Part-I Annual Examinations will no longer need to pay for result scrutiny.

The BIEK chairman instructed the examination controller to complete the scrutiny process within 30 days. To streamline the process, separate counters have been established—one at the BIEK inquiry office for male students and another at the facilitation center for female students.

Students can access the scrutiny form through BIEK’s official website, www.biek.edu.pk.

It is worth noting that BIEK has already formed an inquiry committee comprising senior teachers to address complaints about the 2024 Intermediate Part-I exam results. This committee was established under the chairman’s guidance to ensure fairness and transparency.
