The Pakistan Strike Force training camp, spearheaded by former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, commenced today at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.
This ambitious initiative aims, led by Abdul Razzaq to develop the hard-hitting and modern-day batting skills of both domestic and international players. The camp, which runs from January 14 to 30 at the NCA, will move to the Multan Cricket Stadium for its second leg, scheduled from February 1 to 28.
Focus of the Strike Force Camp
The Strike Force program is specifically designed to enhance the batting capabilities of players, focusing on:
- Power-hitting techniques to meet the demands of modern white-ball cricket.
- Performing under pressure in high-stakes matches.
- Building core strength to improve endurance and explosiveness.
- Balancing aggression with restraint to adapt to different match situations.
Coaching Team
The camp is led by Abdul Razzaq, supported by former Test cricketer Humayun Farhat and ex-first-class player Kamran Sajid. The coaching team also includes Yasir Malik (trainer), Suliman Azhar (data analyst), and Shahbaz Aajiz (throwdown specialist).
The camp features 25 players, including seven Pakistan-capped cricketers: Haider Ali, Jahandad Khan, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mubasir Khan, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Usman Khan.
