The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board held its second meeting on Thursday at the CDA headquarters under the chairmanship of Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
All board members were present during the session, where several agenda items were discussed and approved.
The board approved the auction of commercial plots under various categories to attract investment. Chairman Randhawa emphasized that the auctioned plots would be offered in easy two-year installments. He directed that all plots presented for auction must be equipped with basic amenities and free from any encroachments.
In another development, the board approved the purchase of two tree transplanters to relocate trees affected by development projects. Chairman Randhawa instructed officials to finalize the procurement process promptly. Previously, the CDA relied on renting transplanters from other departments. With the new equipment, the authority aims to expedite the relocation of trees to alternate sites.
The board also approved the construction of a parking plaza adjacent to the Centaurus Hotel. Chairman Randhawa announced that commercial shops would also be included in the parking facility. He also directed the planning of another parking plaza in Sector I-8 to address increasing parking demands in the area.
