The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) in Pakistan has completed preparations for mandatory training sessions for pilgrims participating in the government Hajj 2025 program.
In a statement released today, the ministry’s spokesperson announced that training workshops will take place at 147 locations nationwide. The first session is set to begin tomorrow in Peshawar.
Pilgrim attendance will be tracked using QR codes through the Pak Haj mobile app. Overseas Pakistanis will receive their training at designated Haji Camps before embarking on their pilgrimage. The first phase of this mandatory training is scheduled to conclude by February 27.
Earlier, on January 13, Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, signed the annual Hajj 2025 agreement.
The agreement permits 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims to perform Hajj this year. It also guarantees enhanced facilities, including affordable accommodations in Mina for Pakistani pilgrims.
Saudi Arabia has also introduced a new version of the “Nusuk” portal to improve Hajj and Umrah services for visitors.
