The United Arab Emirates has emerged as the top destination for Pakistani mango exports, as revealed by the Ministry of Commerce in its report presented to the National Assembly. Over the last five years, Pakistan has exported mangoes worth $159.74 million to the UAE, making it the largest buyer of the country’s prized fruit.
The ministry’s written response highlighted the key export markets for Pakistani mangoes. During the last five years, mango exports to the United Kingdom amounted to $131.96 million, while Kazakhstan imported mangoes worth $93.86 million.
Oman purchased mangoes valued at $39.88 million, Afghanistan received shipments worth $35.98 million, and Saudi Arabia imported mangoes worth $29.61 million.
Pakistan exported mangoes valued at $632.003 million over the last five years. The report also noted that Pakistan exported citrus fruits worth $30.9 million during the current fiscal year.
Pakistani mangoes, known for their unique taste and quality, remain a popular export item, contributing significantly to the country’s agricultural exports. The government continues to focus on expanding market access for these fruits to bolster trade revenues and strengthen ties with international buyers.
