The Statement of Objects and Reasons accompanying the bill outlines its primary objective of establishing a university dedicated to advancing healthcare, research, and innovation. The aim is to provide state-of-the-art education in emerging health sciences and technologies, equipping students with the necessary skills to address contemporary healthcare challenges.

The university will concentrate on developing innovative solutions for both local and global health issues through emerging disciplines. It will educate and train healthcare professionals, engineers, data scientists, and researchers to integrate technology with health sciences, fostering interdisciplinary approaches to medical problems.

To tackle Pakistan-specific health challenges such as infectious diseases, maternal health, and malnutrition, the university will design specialized programs and research initiatives to find effective treatments and preventive strategies.

Furthermore, the university aims to foster collaborations with international universities, research institutions, and industries to ensure Pakistan remains at the forefront of global health innovations. It also seeks to promote innovation and entrepreneurship by supporting the establishment of health tech startups, thereby addressing critical healthcare challenges and contributing to economic growth in the country.

The establishment of this university is seen as crucial in bridging the gap between healthcare professionals and rapidly evolving health technologies in Pakistan. It aims to prepare the next generation of healthcare providers capable of effectively leveraging new technologies.
