Punjab is Now Accepting Applications for Positions of Temporary Teachers

The School Education Department has announced the recruitment of temporary teachers, with applications now open online starting today.

Key Details of the Recruitment

• Application Deadline: Applications will be accepted until January 24.
• Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on January 25.
• Merit Lists: Final merit lists of selected candidates will be published on the online portal on January 31.
• Vacancies: Over 115,000 positions are currently vacant in schools.

The recruitment drive aims to fill teaching positions in 42,000 schools across Punjab as per the requirements. These temporary positions will be offered on a four-month contract, starting from February 1 to May 31. The contracts may be renewed after the summer break.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: 21 to 45 years.
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Master’s or Graduate degree along with a professional teaching degree.
