In a landmark step towards modernizing public service delivery, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, has officially launched the Prisoners Visit Management System.
Developed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB), this initiative aims to facilitate seamless communication between inmates and their loved ones by enabling:
- Physical visit bookings for friends and family
- Video conferencing for remote interaction
Developed under the directives of the Chief Minister, this system is a significant step toward ensuring inmates’ fundamental human rights while improving efficiency and transparency in prison services.
Speaking at the launch event, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Science, Technology, and IT, Shafqat Ayaz, emphasized KPITB’s commitment to leveraging technology for better governance.
He highlighted that this initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision of bringing public services to citizens’ doorsteps and enhancing engagement in governance.
