A 33-year-old American woman, O’Neija Andrew Robbins, has made an unusual demand from the Pakistani government—seeking land and a weekly allowance of $2,000—after facing heartbreak in Karachi.
Robbins, who hails from the United States, had left behind her husband and two children to be with her 19-year-old online boyfriend, Nidal Memon, a resident of Karachi’s Garden area. However, her love story took an unexpected turn when she arrived in Pakistan a few months ago, only to be rejected by Nidal after his family refused to accept the relationship.
Following Nidal’s rejection, Robbins found herself stranded at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport after her passport and visa expired, along with her return ticket.
