Kia Launches 5th Generation Sportage in Pakistan With Hybrid Option

Lucky Motors Corporation introduced the 5th generation KIA Sportage at a launch event in Karachi with an upgraded design and advanced features.

The latest Sportage is available with two engine options: a Smart Stream 2.0L MPI engine, producing 154 HP and 192 Nm of torque, and a 1.6T-GDI HEV (Hybrid) engine, delivering 226 HP and 350 Nm of torque.

The vehicle supports multiple driving modes, including Normal, Eco, Smart, and Sport, and features a Shift by Wire (SBW) transmission.

The SUV measures 4,660 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width, and 1,665 mm in height, with a 2,755 mm wheelbase and 181 mm ground clearance.

Inside, the new Sportage boasts a dual 12.3-inch curved display, 8 Harman Kardon speakers, paddle shifters, and wireless charging. The infotainment system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while ambient lighting enhances the cabin’s aesthetics.

Safety features include six airbags, blind spot collision avoidance assist, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), smart cruise control, and a surround-view monitor. Additional driver assistance features like Safe Exit Warning (SEW), Driver Attention Warning, and High Beam Assist (HBA) provide extra security.

The new Sportage is available in fabric, navy misty grey leather, and Carmine Red artificial leather seat options.

Variants and Price

Kia Lucky Motors will be offering the Sportage in 3 variants, a base variant (likely Alpha), a mid-tier model with more features, and a top-of-the-line hybrid model.

The base model will feature only 2 airbags instead of 6 on the more expensive variants, and will also lack a sunroof, with only fabric seats and no heated seats.

The mid-tier model will have a sunroof and heated seats but not a heated steering wheel and no Harman Kardon speakers. It will also lack the safety features and assists, as those are reserved for the top-of-the-line hybrid variant.

The pricing for all three models will be revealed on February 6th.
