Under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the cabinet has approved the conversion of the government helicopter into an air ambulance.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor, Barrister Saif, stated that the provincial government’s MI-17 helicopter will be repurposed as an air ambulance. The modification process, costing ₹300 million, will equip the helicopter for medical emergencies.
Barrister Saif further mentioned that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Ministry will allocate funds to the aviation department for this project.
He added that the Chief Minister has dedicated his helicopter to public service, which has already been used in Kurram for delivering medicines and rescuing stranded individuals.
