Punjab Declares Public Holiday on February 5

The Punjab government has announced a public holiday across the province on February 5 to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day.

As part of this, all Punjab government offices will remain closed on Wednesday, February 5.

Similarly, the Sindh government had earlier declared February 5 a public holiday, shutting down all government and semi-government offices across the province.

Notably, Punjab and Sindh have taken the lead in announcing the Kashmir Day holiday, while the federal government is yet to issue a notification officially declaring it a holiday.

However, it is important to note that Kashmir Day has already been included in the federal cabinet division’s list of public holidays for 2025.
