According to sources, the IT team at Ignite, in coordination with cybersecurity experts, worked swiftly to address the breach and managed to restore the website after a few hours. Officials have not yet disclosed the identity of the hackers or the nature of the security loophole exploited in the attack.
Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of involvement by local or international hacker groups. According to the sources, further investigations are underway to determine the source of the attack and the hackers’ intent. An official of Ignite said that security measures are being strengthened to ensure such incidents do not occur again.
