Umrah Pilgrims Stopped From Going to Saudi Arabia

Several Umrah pilgrims were offloaded at the last minute from their flight at Allama Iqbal International Airport due to the absence of required vaccination certificates.

Over 100 passengers, including women, were denied boarding, leading to a protest at the airport. According to sources, the airline refused to let the pilgrims travel because they lacked polio and COVID-19 vaccination certificates. This sparked outrage among the affected passengers, who chanted slogans against the airline in frustration.

The stranded pilgrims expressed their distress, saying, “We were offloaded and told to buy new tickets. We worked hard to save money for this pilgrimage, and now we are being punished for a mistake made by the travel agent and the airline.”

Tensions escalated as heated arguments broke out between the airline staff and the offloaded passengers, further adding to the chaos at the airport.
