Pakistan Registers Record ODI Run-Chase vs South Africa

In a stunning display of batting prowess, Pakistan Cricket Team registered their highest successful run-chase in One Day International (ODI) history by chasing down a formidable target of 353 against South Africa with 6 wickets to spare. This remarkable feat, achieved during the ongoing tri-series in Pakistan, surpasses their previous best chase of 349 against Australia in 2022.

The match, held at the National Stadium in Karachi, was a testament to the Pakistan cricket team’s resilience and determination. South Africa set a challenging target of 352/5 in their allotted 50 overs, with notable contributions from their top order. Mohammad Rizwan, continuing his excellent form, provided the perfect foil to Salman with his aggressive yet calculated approach. Rizwan’s century was marked by a flurry of boundaries and intelligent strike rotation, ensuring that the required run rate was always within reach. Together, their partnership laid the foundation for Pakistan cricket team’s record-breaking chase.

Rizwan scored 122* off 128 deliveries while Salman Ali Agha scored 134 off 103 deliveries as both players registered their highest score in ODI history, along with a 260-run partnership, the third-highest in Pakistan’s history.
