Sindh Relaxes Age Requirement for Government Jobs

The Sindh cabinet has approved a five-year age relaxation for government job applicants, a decision made during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

The session was attended by provincial ministers, advisors, and secretaries. According to sources, the cabinet also approved the Universities and Boards (Amendment) Bill 2025.

The bill had previously been returned to the Sindh Assembly by Governor Sindh, who raised objections regarding the appointment of heads of universities and educational boards.

Additionally, the cabinet’s decision to grant a five-year age relaxation comes after the earlier removal of a 15-year age relaxation policy for government jobs. The move aims to provide more opportunities for individuals seeking employment in the public sector.
