Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced plans to distribute an additional 500,000 solar systems to low-income households this year.
Speaking in Sukkur, he stated that the government had initially planned to distribute 200,000 solar systems under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), with 50,000 units already delivered and the remaining set for distribution soon.
Following the directive of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, an additional 500,000 solar systems will be provided to underprivileged families later this year, furthering efforts to enhance renewable energy access for the economically disadvantaged.
