Govt Extends Contract of OGRA Chairman for Another Year

The federal government has extended the contract of chairman of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) for another year. 

According to notification issued by Establishment Division, the federal government has extended the contractual appointment of OGRA Chairman Masroor Khan under Cabinet Division for a period of one year from February 23, 2025, to February 22, 2026, in terms of section 3 of the OGRA Ordinance 2002. 

It is pertinent to note that Khan was appointed as chairman OGRA for a period of four years in 2021, and his tenure was set to expire on February 22, 2025.
