As reported by ARY News on Friday, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Education Department has issued a notification banning educational field trips and picnics for government school students.
According to the notification, the Elementary and Secondary Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has directed all government schools to refrain from organizing educational field trips, tours, or picnics for students. This directive applies across all districts, including the merged districts, and aims to ensure compliance among school authorities.
Additionally, in Peshawar, the Deputy Commissioner has implemented Section 144 to prohibit the sale of junk food within a 150-meter radius of schools, citing concerns for student health. This measure underscores the district administration’s proactive approach to addressing public health concerns and maintaining order in the region.
The notification also emphasizes that legal action will be taken against vendors found selling substandard chips and other junk food items, with the order remaining effective for 30 days.
