Pakistan’s triumph was even more significant as this was the first-ever South Asian Cross Country Championship hosted by the country, further cementing the nation’s growing stature in athletics. The championship was supposed to take place last year, but was delayed due to adverse weather conditions at that time.

With two top podium finishes, Pakistan has set a new benchmark in regional athletics, and the performance at the SAAF Cross Country Championships 2025 could serve as a stepping stone toward greater international success in the future.
