A shocking incident occurred at a private school in Chak 32-JB, Faisalabad, where a minor student shot and injured his female teacher during a farewell party. The injured teacher, identified as 21-year-old Hafza Bibi, was immediately taken to Allied Hospital for treatment after sustaining a gunshot wound to her leg.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed by Sandalbar police under sections 324 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), the complaint was lodged by Muhammad Bakhsh, the father of the victim. The report stated that during the eighth-grade farewell event, student Raja Aoun Saeed instructed his classmate, Mirza Muhammad Dawood, to open fire on their teacher. Dawood subsequently fired a shot, injuring Hafza Bibi.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the primary suspects involved in the shooting have been arrested, and efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining accomplice. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack, including the motive and how the student gained access to the firearm.
This alarming event has raised serious concerns about safety protocols in educational institutions and the pressing need to address violence in schools.
