Over 3,000 Passengers Stopped From Going Abroad From Lahore Airport Using Fake Documents

Since the beginning of the year, Lahore Airport authorities have removed 3,171 passengers from flights due to fake, suspicious, or incomplete travel documents.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone has intensified its crackdown on human smugglers at the airport, arresting 10 individuals attempting to travel with forged documents and 35 others involved in begging activities. The detained suspects have been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore for further investigation.

Additionally, FIA thwarted the escape attempts of 12 high-profile fugitives wanted by Punjab Police for serious crimes. FIA Lahore Zone Director Sarfaraz Khan Virk stated that passenger travel records are being closely examined as part of the agency’s zero-tolerance policy against human smuggling.
