PMDC Increases Minimum Attendance and Passing Marks for MBBS and BDS Students

The 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday that government and private medical and dental colleges, as well as universities, have enforced a minimum attendance requirement of 90% and a passing mark of at least 70%.

The implementation of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council’s (PMDC) new regulations has officially begun, raising the academic standards for MBBS and BDS programs.

Under these revised regulations, the minimum attendance requirement has increased from 74% to 90%, while the passing marks for MBBS and BDS students have been raised from 50% to 70%.

With these changes, medical education standards have become significantly more rigorous for the new academic session.
