Samsung has officially confirmed that One UI 7.0, based on Android 15, will start rolling out in early April 2025. The Galaxy S24 series will be the first to receive the update, followed by older flagship and mid-range models, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy A55.
Samsung began One UI 7.0 beta testing for the Galaxy S24 series in December 2024, releasing multiple updates since then. The delay in the stable rollout is reportedly due to a complete software overhaul, as One UI 7.0 has been rebuilt from scratch. Another factor is the AI-powered features, particularly those requiring cloud-based processing, which demand a robust infrastructure to support millions of devices.
Samsung has yet to confirm which AI features will be available on older Galaxy S and Z series models.
One UI 7.0 brings a major design overhaul, including a redesigned Quick Panel UI, updated iconography, and smoother animations that Samsung claims improve responsiveness, particularly during fast navigation. The Now Bar, a new feature, will display ongoing activities, enhancing multitasking efficiency.
The Camera app has been reworked for easier one-handed use, while a new battery icon and refreshed charging animations provide a modernized look.
Samsung is prioritizing stability, optimization, and AI-driven features with One UI 7.0. The Galaxy S24 series will receive the update first, with other devices following in the coming months.
