The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is planning to introduce electric bus services on the Fateh Jang and Hassan Abdal routes to enhance public transport options.
During a meeting with Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa discussed the expansion of electric bus routes to improve connectivity with Islamabad. He assured that the proposal would be formally presented to the Board of Directors for approval.
Governor Punjab expressed his full support for the initiative, stating that development projects should remain a priority regardless of political differences.
He emphasized that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would continue working together for public welfare.
The CDA has been focusing on expanding eco-friendly transport options in the capital, aiming to reduce traffic congestion and pollution. If approved, the new electric bus service will provide a cost-effective and environmentally friendly travel option for commuters.

What about route to old airport road till Kutchery Rawalpindi and from T Chowk till Kutchery Rawalpindi
Great initiative. Vans on fateh jang road were really pathetic and metro bus on this route will really facilitate many people living in F 17 Faisal town Fazaia and many villages on fateh jang road
This route really facilitate village peoples and other side peoples
Aoa.why delay the route start from rawalpindi to pakistan secretariat via express way faizabad /suhun muree road rawal chook Serena Hotel supermen Court national assembly and secretariat.
And the residents of I-14 are without water supply since last two months. No water in Ramadan as well. CDA need to provide water first
There should be a bus stop on Faizabad’s metro redline station to Chakshahzad, Tramri etc.
Government should also start Electric bus route on main Peshawar road to rawat this will also help to facilitate the peoples
When they start to cover the Peshawar road to saddar bus route I mean we saw many buses on every route why Government not launch any bus from peer wadahi to Saddar ? I was waiting since last 4 years but still didn’t start any bus service on this Peshawar road Rawalpindi.
