Punjab Bans Mobile Phones in College Classrooms

The Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) has banned the use of mobile phones in college classrooms across the province.

The restriction applies to students and teachers to maintain discipline and improve the learning environment.

According to an official notification, excessive phone usage during lectures disrupts academic activities. Officials noted that many students frequently use social media apps during class, affecting their concentration, while teachers’ phone use has also contributed to distractions.
