A sharp increase in pollen levels across Islamabad has triggered a rise in allergy cases, with many residents experiencing severe reactions. The latest data shows the pollen count has reached alarming levels, affecting those with asthma and other respiratory conditions.
According to health officials, the number of patients seeking medical assistance for pollen-related issues has risen significantly.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department reported that the highest pollen concentration was recorded in Sector H-8, followed by G-6 and E-8, while other areas, including F-10, also showed concerning levels.
Doctors have cautioned that the high pollen levels pose serious risks to individuals with respiratory conditions. They advise wearing masks outdoors, keeping windows closed, and avoiding unnecessary exposure to reduce symptoms.
Medical experts also recommend antihistamines and other allergy medications for those severely affected.
Residents are urged to take precautions as pollen levels continue to rise, posing health challenges for vulnerable individuals.
