Residents of Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar are facing the highest sugar prices of Rs. 180 per kg. The average price of sugar has decreased slightly by Rs. 1.49 per kilogram in the past week. The current average price is Rs. 170.41 per kilogram, down from Rs. 171.90 per kilogram last week.
These figures highlight the ongoing challenge of controlling sugar prices in country, despite government interventions.
