The National Highway Authority (NHA) has once again raised toll taxes on national highways and motorways, with the new rates set to be implemented from 1 April.
As per an official notification, toll charges have been revised across various vehicle categories. Cars will now be charged Rs. 70, vans Rs. 150, and buses Rs. 250. Meanwhile, two- and three-axle trucks will pay Rs. 300, and larger trucks will face a toll of Rs. 550.
The latest increase affects several major motorways, including M1, M3, M4, M5, M14, and E35. The toll for cars on the Islamabad-Peshawar (M1) Motorway has been raised from Rs. 500 to Rs. 550.
Similarly, the toll on the Lahore-Abdul Hakeem (M3) Motorway has jumped from Rs. 700 to Rs. 800.
This marks the second toll tax hike in a short period, adding to the financial burden on commuters and transporters. The increase is expected to impact travel costs across the country.
