The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has directed private housing societies to strictly implement their approved layout plans and provide all promised basic amenities to residents. Failure to comply will result in legal action by the authority.
RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza conducted an open kutchery at the University Town Housing Scheme to address public grievances and ensure prompt solutions to residents’ concerns.
During the session, locals raised various issues, including the need for a mosque, a park, clear plot demarcations, a playground, garbage bins, street lighting, an improved sewage system, better road conditions, and a reliable water supply.
Emphasizing the RDA’s commitment to public service, Kinza Murtaza stated, “Our goal is to serve the people, and we will ensure their issues are resolved efficiently.” She instructed RDA officials to prioritize public complaints for maximum convenience to residents.
As part of the initiative, the owners of the University Town Housing Scheme have been given three months to resolve the highlighted issues, ensuring that all residents’ concerns are effectively addressed.
