Sindh Announces 30,000 Scholarships for Students

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced a scholarship program for 30,000 students from 30 universities across the province.

Launched in partnership with Google and Teach Valley, the initiative aims to equip students with digital skills and knowledge. The scholarships will cover Google Career Certificate courses, which can be completed online within 3 to 6 months.

Speaking at the launch event, CM Murad Ali Shah reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing digital education in Sindh. He emphasized the importance of providing students with world-class training opportunities.

The program has allocated 30% of the scholarships to women and will prioritize students from underprivileged backgrounds. Scholarship recipients will also receive a monthly stipend ranging from Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 1.6 million.

Honhaar Scholarship Help Desk Established

Meanwhile, a ‘Honhaar Scholarship Help Desk’ has been set up to assist students via WhatsApp, landline, and social media, ensuring quick resolution of inquiries and complaints.

Established under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the help desk operates from 9 AM to 5 PM.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized that talented students should focus solely on their studies while the government takes responsibility for their fees. “Every student of Punjab is like my own child. I want to provide them with every possible resource,” she stated.
