Honor has officially launched the first model in its new 400 series — the Honor 400 Lite. After skipping a Lite variant in the previous 300 series, the company is back with a new mid-range option that introduces a refreshed design and updated hardware.
Design and Display
The Honor 400 Lite features a 6.7-inch flat AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness and integrates an optical fingerprint scanner beneath the screen.
On the back, the phone introduces a redesigned triangular camera module, moving away from the oval style used in previous models. It’s available in three color options: green, black, and grey, as shown in the image below.
Internals and Software
The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra chipset. It comes with either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB, although there’s no microSD slot for expansion. On the software side, the Honor 400 Lite runs MagicOS 9.0, which is based on Android 15.
Cameras
The rear camera system includes a 108MP main sensor with a 1/1.67-inch sensor size and an f/1.75 aperture, offering 3x lossless zoom. It’s accompanied by a 5MP ultrawide lens that also functions as a depth sensor. A notable feature is the multipurpose AI camera button on the side, which can launch the camera app, take photos, start video recordings, zoom in, and activate visual search by pressing and holding.
On the front, the phone has a 16MP selfie camera, supported by an LED flash for better low-light captures.
Battery and Pricing
The Honor 400 Lite comes equipped with a 5,230 mAh battery and supports 35W wired charging. The 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant is currently available in Austria, priced at $296 during the pre-order phase, with the regular retail price set at $329. The device may soon reach additional markets.
