The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced the “Ehsaas Apna Ghar Scheme” to support low-income families by offering interest-free loans for the construction, renovation, or expansion of their homes.
According to a spokesperson from the Housing Department, eligible families will receive interest-free loans of up to Rs 1.5 million, with a repayment period of seven years. A total of Rs 4 billion has been allocated for the scheme.
Under the initiative, the government has set a seven-year repayment plan, with the maximum monthly installment capped at Rs 18,000. To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Have a monthly income of at least Rs100,000
Own a piece of land
Be aged between 18 and 55 years
The last date to apply for the Ehsaas Apna Ghar Loan Scheme is the 8th of next month.
