In a disturbing display of cruelty, a powerful landlord in Chak 53 Tikra reportedly attacked a buffalo with an axe, shattering its legs after it strayed into his crop field.
The buffalo, owned by a poor labourer named Muhammad Amin, was said to be his main source of income. Valued at around Rs. 400,000, the injured animal is now unable to move, leaving Amin devastated and without his livelihood.
According to the details, the landlord, identified as Akram, along with his accomplice, brutally assaulted the animal after it accidentally entered their farmland.
Despite the violence, no arrests have been made so far.
Amin claims that due to Akram’s strong influence in the area, the police have taken no concrete action.
A case has been registered at Mamu Kanjan police station, but the laborer accuses the police of supporting the accused and ignoring his pleas.
Amin has now appealed to the RPO and CPO Faisalabad to intervene and ensure justice is served.
