This Gemini Live Feature is Now Free for All Android Users

Google has announced that the Gemini Live feature, which allows the app to see and respond to what’s on your camera and screen, will now be available for free to all Android users through the Gemini app.

Originally, this feature launched earlier this month exclusively for Pixel 9 and Samsung Galaxy S25 users with a Gemini Advanced subscription. However, after receiving positive feedback, Google decided to expand the availability of Gemini Live to all Android users at no extra cost.

New Rollout for Android Users

The feature’s rollout has already started, and users can expect to have it available on their devices over the next few weeks. It is unclear if the rollout is being conducted on a region-by-region basis.

As part of the launch, Google shared a video where a Pixel phone points its camera at different kinds of food passing by and Gemini Live quickly describes what it’s looking at. Check out the video below.

Microsoft’s Rival: Copilot Vision

Microsoft has also announced a similar tool called Copilot Vision, which is now available for free in the Edge browser. This shows that both tech giants are working on similar AI-powered features to stay on top of the competition.
