As part of the reform agenda introduced by the Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, the Khyber Police officially transitioned on Monday to the standard police uniform of pants and shirt, moving away from the traditional shalwar kameez.

Khyber District Police Officer Mazhar Iqbal hailed the shift as a significant moment in the district’s history. “Today marks a historic milestone as we retire a 150-year-old uniform and adopt a new standard uniform in line with other provinces,” he said. “From now on, Khyber Police will wear the official police attire, aligning with national standards.”
