The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has made it mandatory for all corporate entities and companies to electronically integrate their hardware and software with a computerized system to generate and transmit electronic invoices by May 1, 2025.
The requirement for issuance of electronic invoicing is made applicable across the board to both corporate and non-corporate taxpayers without any distinction to any specific sector.

Earlier, this requirement was only for FMCG and tier-1 retailers. In this regard, the FBR has issued an S.R.O.709(I)/2025.
The non-corporate registered persons have been given a deadline of June 1, 2025, for integration purposes.
