Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has announced an increase in the price of the Suzuki Swift GL MT variant, raising it by Rs. 80,000. The vehicle, which was earlier priced at Rs. 4,336,000, will now cost Rs. 4,416,000. The new pricing came into effect from April 26, 2025.
The Swift GL MT is one of Suzuki’s popular hatchback options in Pakistan. However, this recent price adjustment could impact its competitiveness in a market already grappling with rising car costs and a shrinking pool of buyers due to economic challenges.
The price hike comes just a few months after PSMC increased the price of its smallest offering, the Suzuki Alto, by up to Rs. 120,000 in February 2025. At that time, the company explained that the revision was due to the introduction of new features aimed at enhancing the driving experience and ensuring better safety standards.
Following the price adjustment, Suzuki has now officially unveiled the upgraded version of the Alto. Several new features have been introduced across all variants, confirming earlier reports that the hatchback would see major updates.
