Deadline Announced for Completion of Lahore Streets Repair Project

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired an important meeting to review progress on the Lahore Development Plan, assigning key responsibilities to the Senior Minister and Chief Secretary for timely completion of development schemes.

The meeting decided that the first phase of street repair and construction will be completed by June 30. This includes 3,705 streets under the Municipal Corporation of Lahore and 230 under WASA. Separately, repair work on 1,573 additional WASA-managed streets must be completed by July 31.

To ensure consistent monitoring, monthly timelines will now be set for all development work under the plan. The second phase will focus on street rehabilitation and other projects in Allama Iqbal Town, Aziz Bhatti Town, and Wagah Town.
