Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed officials to immediately begin work on the Yellow Line mass transit project between Jinnah Terminal and Harbanspura.
During a high-level meeting on Tuesday, a feasibility study for the Yellow Line was presented. Following the briefing, the chief minister gave instructions to fast-track the launch of this phase of the project, calling it a priority for urban mobility.
Maryam Nawaz also sought a detailed report on potential routes for expanding mass transit services in Gujranwala. She emphasized that all future routes must be planned with public convenience in mind.
The Yellow Line project is part of a broader strategy to modernize public transportation across Punjab, reduce traffic congestion, and provide safer, more reliable options for daily commuters.
