The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced that it will begin collecting development charges from allottees of various underdeveloped and developing residential sectors in the capital.
According to an official notification issued on May 7 and signed by Director Land and Rehabilitation, Sania Hameed Pasha, the charges will be imposed at a rate of Rs. 9,000 per square yard. The affected sectors include C-13, C-14, C-15, C-16, C-17, I-11, I-12, I-14, and I-15.
The decision follows a CDA Board resolution passed during a meeting held on August 13, 2024. To ease the financial burden on residents, the authority will allow the development charges to be paid in installments.
