Vivo has launched the Y300 GT, expanding its Y-series with a performance-focused midrange device. Closely aligned with the iQOO Z10 Turbo in specs, the Y300 GT targets users seeking high refresh rates, fast charging, and solid hardware.
Design and Display
The Y300 GT features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen can hit a peak local brightness of 5,500 nits, offering high visibility even under direct sunlight. The phone offers an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking. It is available in two finishes: Desert Gold and Black, as shown below.
Internals and Software
Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The chipset is built to handle multitasking and gaming efficiently. The phone ships with OriginOS 15, based on Android 15, since it is the Chinese variant, the global variant is going to come with Funtouch OS instead, as always.
Cameras
On the rear, the Y300 GT houses a 50MP main sensor (LYT-600) accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. The camera setup supports standard photography features such as portrait mode and night mode. On the front, there’s a 16MP selfie camera, centered at the top of the display, suitable for video calls and social media use.
Battery and Pricing
A standout feature of the device is its 7,620 mAh battery, which supports 90W wired fast charging, enabling rapid top-ups. This large battery capacity is expected to provide extended screen-on time for heavy users.
The base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at around $277, while the top-end 12GB RAM and 512GB storage version costs approximately $346. Vivo has yet to announce global availability.
